ROHNERT PARK, CA – The Board of Trustees of the Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District and Interim Superintendent Dr. Tony Roehrick are inviting all community members, staff, parent/guardians and students to attend the official Rancho Cotate High School Ribbon Cutting and Dedication Ceremony for the new Theater, Academic, Gymnasium (TAG) building on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. The ribbon cutting will be followed by dedication of the Henry J. Sarlatte Gymnasium. An open house with guided tours of the building and student performances will follow the ceremony. Refreshments will be served. All members of our greater Cotati and Rohnert Park communities are encouraged to attend.

WLC Architects, Inc. and Wright Contracting completed this project which was funded through the 2014 Bond Measure B and 2016 Bond Measure C. The 75,000 square foot TAG building has a formal 250 seat theater, with band, dance, weight, and locker rooms. In addition, a multicourt gymnasium and six academic classrooms are housed within the facility.

“The TAG will provide the Rancho Cotate campus the ability to prepare students for college and career in the best facilities possible,” said Louis Ganzler, Principal of Rancho Cotate High School. “This building is a monument to the hard work and support of the community.”

The project is part of an ongoing district-wide plan to modernize schools, update technology infrastructure, and ensure safe, well-maintained classrooms and facilities for all students. In addition to this incredible facility, local voter-approved bond funds have paid for improvements at Evergreen, Richard Crane, Marguerite Hahn, Monte Vista, Thomas Page, John Reed, and University elementary schools, as well at Lawrence Jones and Technology Middle schools and for the new campus for Technology High School.
