Districtwide Earthquake Drill – October 16, 2025

Get Ready to ShakeOut!

On Thursday, October 16, 2025, CRPUSD will participate in a districtwide earthquake drill as part of the Great ShakeOut. This important safety exercise is being conducted in partnership with Rohnert Park Public Safety, Cotati Police, Sonoma State University, the City of Cotati, the City of Rohnert Park, and North Bay Security.

The purpose of the drill is to ensure that our students and staff know how to respond quickly and safely in the event of an earthquake.

We are proud to work with our community partners to strengthen safety and preparedness for everyone. Thank you for your support in helping us create a safe learning environment for all students.

Principal, Heather Ramme

I am honored to serve as the principal of Rancho Cotate High School, a role I have held since January 2023. Before becoming principal, I spent five years as an assistant principal at RCHS and two years at Technology Middle School, building strong roots in the CRPUSD community. My career in education has included serving as an administrator, teacher, and counselor at John Muir Charter School at the Conservation Corps, a continuation program for young adults ages 18–24; teaching English at Oakland Technical High School; and teaching at Intermediate School 90 in New York City. I hold a master’s degree in English Composition from San Francisco State University. Although I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and sometimes miss the rain, I’ve grown to love the California sunshine and feel grateful to be raising my daughter here in Sonoma County.
