Upcoming Rally- December 8th, 2017 "High School Movies Airband Ralley"
Rallies are exciting events at Rancho, promoting school spirit and class competition. Performances include singers, dancers, Cheer and Band. Activities include announcing Varsity sports captains, royalty and playing games. The Back to School Rally in September, involves announcing fall sports captains, the band performing, cheerleaders, announcing the ASB class and class councils, games, and performances.
The Homecoming rally, the day before the dance and the day of the game involves announcing the football team, Cheer performing, Homecoming royalty, and a game with the nominees. The Winter Rally primarily consists of Airbands - skits performed by each class to earn spirit points. The Prom Rally is when spring sports captains are announced, and the Senior slide show is shown.
All rallies have a theme (previous themes include Winter Wonderland, Over the Rainbow, Disney, and Blacklight), and the decorations and music are generally based around the theme. Rallies are very important to unify everyone, and allow the student body to show their school spirit.
