Online Course Registration for the 2021-2022 academic year begins on January 19th.

Online course registration info will be provided here, including tutorial videos for using PowerSchools to register for your classes.

Current 9th-11th RCHS Students

General Information

  • All current RCHS students will receive course selection information from their sixth period teacher on Tuesday, January 19th. Please be sure to refer to the online registration video (see below) for step-by-step instructions on how to register for courses online.
  •  Students should begin the registration process by completing the Registration Student Information Survey in Naviance.  This provides your student's counselor with information needed to help guide your student's class placement.
  •  Students & families can go online ( to input course selections using their student’s PowerSchool portal account starting January 19th.
  •  Please be aware that no on-line course changes can be made after January 24th. However, students may review and modify their class choices until that date.
  •  All 9th - 11th grade students will have the opportunity to schedule a google meet meeting with their counselor to review class selections starting January 27th through February 12, 2021. Course selection changes can be made at that time if necessary.
  • To review transcript information before making course selections, see the tutorial in the video below on how to access that information through the student PowerSchool portal. This information is also available here.

    Note: Course request must be completed through the PowerSchool portal starting Tuesday January 19th and be submitted by Sunday, January 24, 2021.

PowerSchool Registration (text instructions)

  1. Go to their Rapididentity web page at
  2. Select the PowerSchool Student Application tab. 
  3. From within PowerSchool, students must then select the “Quick Links” Tab on the left-hand side of the page, then “Class Registration” tab near the middle of the page. 
  4. Scroll down and sign-in with google account.
  5. Make course selections by clicking on the yellow pencil icons. When course selections are done, all red exclamation icons should have changed to green check marks.
  6. Click the submit button when selections are finished.

Counselor Registration Appointments

The Rancho Guidance Counselors have set aside 15-minute drop-in appointment spots for students who would like to schedule a meeting to speak with their counselor. 

The meeting times are available as follows:

Registration inquiry appointments for Rancho 9th – 11th Graders
January 27 - February 12, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

General Inquiry appointments for non-registration for all Rancho students every Thursday from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
