Online Course Registration

Online Course Registration for the 2021-2022 academic year begins on January 19th.

Online course registration info will be provided here, including tutorial videos for using PowerSchools to register for your classes.

Current 9th-11th RCHS Students

Note: Course requests for current 9th-11th grade through the PowerSchool portal are now CLOSED.  


General Information

  • All current RCHS students will receive course selection information from their sixth period teacher on Tuesday, January 19th. Please be sure to refer to the online registration video (see below) for step-by-step instructions on how to register for courses online.
  •  Students should begin the registration process by completing the Registration Student Information Survey in Naviance.  This provides your student's counselor with information needed to help guide your student's class placement.
  •  Students & families can go online (my.crpus.org) to input course selections using their student’s PowerSchool portal account starting January 19th.
  •  Please be aware that no on-line course changes can be made after January 24th. However, students may review and modify their class choices until that date.
  •  All 9th - 11th grade students will have the opportunity to schedule a google meet meeting with their counselor to review class selections starting January 27th through February 12, 2021. Course selection changes can be made at that time if necessary.

If you missed the online registration window but would like to inform your counselor of the alternates you would like, please complete the appropriate grade level course selection sheet.

After opening the form, please download it to your computer prior to completing it. 

Once completed, please save with your "Last Name, First Name, Registration Form Date" and email it directly to your counselor. 

We cannot guarantee you will get your requested classes but will take your requests into account when finalizing student schedules. 

Students should contact their counselor directly with registration questions.

PowerSchool Registration (text instructions)

  1. Go to their Rapididentity web page at my.crpusd.org
  2. Select the PowerSchool Student Application tab. 
  3. From within PowerSchool, students must then select the “Quick Links” Tab on the left-hand side of the page, then “Class Registration” tab near the middle of the page. 
  4. Scroll down and sign-in with google account.
  5. Make course selections by clicking on the yellow pencil icons. When course selections are done, all red exclamation icons should have changed to green check marks.
  6. Click the submit button when selections are finished.

Counselor Registration Appointments

The Rancho Guidance Counselors have set aside 15-minute drop-in appointment spots for students who would like to schedule a meeting to speak with their counselor. 

The meeting times are available as follows:

Registration inquiry appointments for Rancho 9th – 11th Graders
January 27 - February 12, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

General Inquiry appointments for non-registration for all Rancho students every Thursday from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Course Applications

Some courses require a separate application submitted to the teacher. Complete the applications by downloading the PDF, saving as a new file, and emailing to the designated contact.

Current Middle School 8th Grade Students (Incoming 9th)

General Information

  • All students have access to the registration portal and must register between February 2 – 8, 2021
  • Students should begin the registration process by completing a short Registration Student Information Survey; their responses will provide your student’s counselor with information that will assist them with guidance
  • Students can access their student portal using home computers and/or school issued chrome book.
  • Students will enter course requests by going to their Rapididentity web page at my.crpusd.org
  • From within PowerSchool, students must then select the “Quick Links” Tab on the left-hand side of the page then “Class Registration” tab near the middle of the page.
  • Selecting the “Class Registration” tab will open a digital course request form that the students can use to complete their course selections for next year. Students should scroll down and sign-in with their google account to complete and submit the online registration form.
  • Please be aware that no online course changes can be made after February 8. However, students may review and modify their class choices until that date

Virtual Question & Answer Sessions with Rancho Counselors

Eighth graders with questions are encouraged to participate on either February 3 or 4, 2021 from 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Individual Student Google Meet Appointments

Eighth graders who have submitted their registration online and would like to meet with their assigned Rancho counselor may self-schedule an appointment between February 16 – 26, 2021 during the hours of 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
